About Me/Contact

Hey there!

My name is Rosie. I'm a homeschool graduate, college graduate, wife, a lover of words, and a passionate follower of Christ. There was a time in my life I when I wrote novels, though not very many. Now I'm in the prayer-process of working on a new project that will expand my horizons...but I probably won’t have any details to share for a while. My life is full to the brim doing what I love, blogging, reading, editing, and writing. I count myself very blessed.

Words mean a lot to me. They’re building blocks, really. When used properly in writing, they can unlock deeper meanings and reveal hidden truths. They can create worlds, inspire hope, and glorify God. But words also have the ability to tear down, wound the heart, and bring death. Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it shall eat its fruits.” (ESV) It’s very important to me that the things I write inspire and encourage hearts and, at the same time, glorify God. Writing for me without these things has no meaning.

The purpose of this blog is to glorify God in both word and deed. (Col. 3:17) I intend to post on my thoughts about life, love, and God, as well as books here and there. If you have any questions or wish to contact me feel free to shoot me an email at writingsofrosie(at)gmail(dot)com. Thank you for stopping by!

Blessings,
Rosie L.
"May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord."

  2. Hey! I've been checking out your blog and loving it! I can also pretty much agree with everything on this page except for the fact that I'm not much of a writer, and Phil 4:13 isn't my fav verse but I still like it!

  4. Hey Rosie, I was just randomly scrolling through twitter and I found you. I read your description and thought "hey, that sounds a lot like me." I'm a NaNo winner, a homeschooler, and most importantly, a Christian. Although we don't write the same genres, if you want, you can check out my blog. I've got a few stories that deal with religious issues you might find interesting. Check it out http://jakelockwoodauthor.blogspot.com/

  5. Hello,

I am working with author Heather Blanton. She has a new book coming out November 28th. Love, Lies & Typewriters is a WW2 RomCom. Here's the book blurb:

When cowgirl Lucy Daniels is rescued from a stampeding herd of cattle by war hero Dale

Sumner, sparks fly and headlines are born. Smelling an opportunity, the local newspaper

publisher decides to send the couple on a tour selling war bonds (not to mention, subscriptions).

The catch is, Lucy and Dale are supposed to be a “budding” romance—an angle that should reel

in the readers. Lucy is happy to play along until she realizes her affections may be slipping

toward the wrong man. Can she steer her heart back to Prince Charming and keep up the story

line? Or is the grand tour nothing more than a grand lie?

Ace reporter and aspiring mystery writer Bryce Richard is tasked with covering the

fairy-tale couple. He can't think of anything more beneath him than switching from hard news to

pounding out romantic drivel. Adding more misery to the assignment, he's a true city-slicker, as

out of his element in Cheyenne, WY as an elephant at the ballet. He's certainly no competition

for Dale, the All-American war hero women swoon over at the rallies—even Lucy. Yet, Bryce

can't stop hoping she might cast her green eyes his way.

But that would wreck the whole tour, and Bryce's coveted book deal.

When truth and love collide on the front page, will these two get a chance to write their

    fairy tale ending?

I am looking for people that would be willing to read and post a review on the release date. The book would be sent to you in an e-format. Thank you for your consideration!
